WILLIAM CORSON

William Gene Corson, 71 passed away suddenly on April, 25, 2020 in Kanab, Utah. Bill was born on August 16, 1948 in Houston, Texas and spent most of his life in Texas.  He also resided in California, Arizona and finally Utah.

Bill was a star athlete from an early age. He excelled especially in football and track. He loved sports as everyone who knew him can attest to.  He played football all years through school including college.  He served honorably in the United States Air Force and even played football on the Air Force team.  He loved the football challenge in the Southern Utah News and managed to make the finals most of the years he played.  He loved music and the view from our patio. His favorite tune is Harvest Moon by Neil Young. He loved his friends. His friends and family call him “Scooter” and that is how we will always refer to him.  He loved helping his sister in her antique shop.  He enjoyed life every day as he realized that each day was a present.  He loved all these, but most of all he loved his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Corson, Kanab; his son W.G. Corson Jr. and wife Sarena Corson their children Logan and Jadan residing in Gilbert, Az and son Jonas Corson and wife Nancy Corson and their children Ryan and Scott residing in Pearland, TX. He is also survived by his sons’ Mother, Teri Tansey residing in Pearland, TX.  Bill also leaves behind his siblings, his sister Sabrina Schumacher, Kanab, brothers, Steve Corson, Fredonia, AZ and Mark Corson, Cottonwood, AZ.  Lastly, Bill leaves our beloved 4 legged best friends, (dogs) Bonnie and Bella and (cat) Robbie.  They miss him too.

Currently there is no plan for a public memorial. The family will be holding a private service.
