Wayne Harris

Wayne Tait Harris, age 75, died June 11th,  2018, in Glendale, Arizona of Congestive Heart Failure.  He was born in Kanab, Utah on  January 15th. 1943 to Hazen Hogan Harris and LaDonna Tait Harris.  He attended grade school at Glendale, Utah, and graduated form Valley High School Class of 1962 in Orderville, Utah.  After graduating from High School, Wayne went to work for Kaibab Industries on the Kaibab National Forest as a cat skinner on a logging crew.

In June of 1963, Wayne married LaDean Haney in the St George Temple. They had three children, David Wayne, Andy and Nadine.  Early in the 1970s Wayne moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona.  He worked  construction with his brother-in-law Garth Hall for several years. Later he went to work for Ray Hoopes, know as Hoopes’ Troops. He then worked for Ferral Gas delivering propane.

In  2003 Wayne moved to St George, Utah and lived with his sister Ora Mai. This is when he met Janet Eagar, they were married April 2004 and divorced 2015.

Wayne had many hobbies, however the one he enjoy most was bowling. He bowled in many tournaments including the Huntsman World Senior Games. Thru bowling Wayne made many dear friends wherever he was. He bowled until his health failed him.

Wayne is survived by his children, David Wayne (Ellie) Apache Junction, Arizona, Andy Harris and Nadine Kerbough, of Glendale, Arizona and Gina Harris of Camp  Verde, Arizona. 5 grand-children and 4 great-grand-children, Sister Ora Mai Harris Pendleton (Donald Ira) St George, Utah, Bruce Nelson Harris (Bonnie Blackburn) Glendale, Utah. Many nieces, nephews and very special friend Janet.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazen Hogan Harris and LaDonna Tait Harris, former wife LaDean Haney, sister Naomi Hall, brother Leonard Tait Harris, sister Totie Lynn Anderson, a special nephew Sheriff  Deputy Brian B. Harris, as well as several other nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Friday,  June 22nd, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Glendale Utah Ward Chapel, with viewing from 9:30am to 10:45am. Burial will be in the Glendale Utah Cemetery.
