Theo Tait

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle Theo Darwin Tait returned home to our beloved Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on July 10, 2022.
 Theo was born in Kanab, Utah on February 10. 1939 to William Carson Tait and Lavinia Healey Tait.  He spent his childhood in Mt. Carmel, Utah, attended Valley High School, and graduated in 1958.  He was very athletic and loved playing many different sports. He was the athlete of the year his senior year of High School.
 After graduating, he met the love of his life, Norma Jean Hunter.  They were married August 17, 1963.  Together they raised six children.  He worked for Kaibab Industries for 38 years.  After the mill closed in 1995, he worked for Bud Mahas Construction until his retirement.
 Theo loved spending time in the hills with his family;  hunting, fishing, and camping.  He taught his children the values of working hard.  He had a great passion for and was one of the very best at cutting wood and posts.
 Theo was preceded in death by his father William Carson and mother LaVinia; sisters Dorothy, Lamola, and Maxine; brother William Jr.; wife Norma Jean; second wife Linda Goble; and children Darwin and Lorie.
 Theo is survived by his brother Ellis Tait; children Richard (Cecilia) Tait, Tammy (Dee) Christensen, Darwin-deceased (Nancy) Tait, Lorie-deceased (Jim) Schaffer, Debora Tait, and Jim (Melissa) Tait; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Kanab Kaibab Stake Center, with a viewing starting at 10:00 am.  Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Utah Cemetery after the services.  Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
 The family would like to give a special thank you to the folks at Zion’s Way Hospice, especially Holly.  The loving care they gave was greatly appreciated.
