Steven R. Sorensen, age 76, died December 15, 2018 in St. George, Utah.  He was born September 26, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan to Patricia Louise Revord and Robert George Sorensen.  He was raised in Michigan then lived his adult life in California. Steve was a computer guy. He built computers and designed programs. One of his last jobs was designing a program to improve the efficiency of Orange County’s waste removal.

Steve always lived his life on his terms.  Sometimes that worked for him, and sometimes it didn’t.  He moved to Escalante in April of 2018 to help celebrate his Mom’s 93rd birthday.  Being there really helped them both.  He learned to love the peace and quiet of Escalante, and when he knew his illness was terminal, always said this was the place he wanted to die.

Survivors include his ex-wife Susan Steele Sorensen of California, sons Robert W. and Scott P. Sorensen both of California, and sister Suzanne R. Mosier of Escalante.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah.
