Robert Griffin

On the 25th of November, Thanksgiving morning, Robert (Bob) Griffin returned to his father in heaven, at the age of 83.

Bob was born June 30, 1938 in Burlington, Wyoming. He grew up with the Grand Tetons as his backyard. No wonder, any time Wyoming came up in conversation, he would say “Wyoming is God’s country”.

On Sept 2, 1957, he and Doris Christensen married in Craig, Colorado. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

Friends and family of Bob Griffin will remember all the greatness that he was and we are thankful for the wonderful experiences he has brought into our lives. He has been the best father, continuing on to great-grandfather, a person could ever have. Our father was an inspiration to our family, a light in the church, had a dedicated career which provided for all of us growing up and beyond. We will miss him greatly, as he filled a great space in our lives.

Bob is survived by his wife, Doris Griffin; brothers, Dan Griffin and Mike Donathan; Children, Amanda Kitchen (Gordon), Robert Griffin (Patti), Vernon Griffin (Laurie), Rodney Griffin (Cindy), Dwight Griffin (Reesha), James Griffin (Amanda), Reneata Griffin; 34 Grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, four brothers and one grandson.

The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the care and love, he and we, have received from the community.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov 29, 2021 at the Kaibab LDS Stake Center, at 2:00 PM. Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment in the Kanab City cemetery, under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
