Robert Charles Thompson, age 84, died peacefully with his wife and son by his bedside at his home in Kanab, Utah on July 13, 2023. He is home with his Heavenly Father and now he can see and walk. Robert was born July 21, 1938 in Solon, Ohio and was raised by his grandparents in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a radio man in the US Navy. He married the love of his life Patricia Ann Moyers in 1968 in Akron, Ohio.

Robert worked as a machinist, he also had paper routes 7 days a week plus his job at age 54 to 65. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he enjoyed short wave radio and collected comic books. What he loved most was his family. He was a member of the Cliffview Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Pat Thompson of Kanab, children Cindy Gearheart of Ohio, Vicki (Guy) Miller of Ohio, and David Thompson of Kanab. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 12 Noon in the Cliffview Chapel Baptist Church, 217 East 300 South (Hwy 89) in Kanab, with a viewing starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
