Robert “Bob” Anthony Nugent Jr.

 Robert “Bob” Anthony Nugent Jr., 76, passed away February 11, 2022, in Victorville, CA. He passed away peacefully in his home with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born July 13, 1945, in Inglewood, Calif. to Robert Anthony Nugent Sr. and Viola Mae Copelin. Bob grew up in California where he attended Inglewood High School in Inglewood, Calif.  Right out of high school Bob joined the Navy, (he has always been so very proud to be an American), and worked as a diver on the Underwater Demolition Team during the Vietnam War. After he returned home to Inglewood, Calif., where he lived most of his life.
Bob worked as a tow truck driver, a job that he loved to do. He had tons of stories to tell about all the crazy things that he saw during his years towing vehicles. He used to tell the story of how he met Sammy Davis Jr. He said he was one of the nicest people he had ever met.
Bob was happily married to Norma who was his partner in life for the past 20 years at the time of his passing. 
 Bob was preceded in death by father Robert Anthony Nugent Sr., mother Viola Mae Copelin, grandson Robert Sean Nugent Jr., and fur baby Shadow.  Bob is survived by wife Norma Nugent, brother Charles Rebel Nugent of Seal Beach, CA., sister Pamela Sue Carr of Crossville, Tenn., 2 children of his own Robert Sean Nugent Sr. of Coral Springs, FL, and Tammy Coleen Nugent-Freedman of Redlands, CA., 3 children through marriage, 4 sons-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.

Besides spending time with family and friends, Bob had a passion for cars, music, camping, collecting Hot Wheels, and caring for his dog Buddy. He had a fiery personality and a great sense of humor. Bob will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, brother, and grandpa, a proud patriot, and US Navy Veteran.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mosdell Mortuary, 676 S Hwy 89A, Kanab, UT 84741,
