Phyllis Robertson, 80, of Glendale, Utah passed away peacefully at her home in Las Vegas on Monday, November 5, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Phyllis was born on December 31, 1937 as the baby of twelve to Magnus and Lucy Anderson in their Glendale home; she was raised in Glendale, attending Valley High School. Soon after, she met and married Valjean Robertson of Alton on May 13, 1956 and later solemnized in the St. George Temple. They moved to Georgia while Val served in the Army and later relocated to Blue Diamond, NV where she started her family. Phyllis and Val raised their six children, Brenda, Rick, Mike, Danny, DeLynn and Nikki together in Las Vegas, NV. Family was her life passion, as well as quilting, gardening, visiting, being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and spending as much time as she could at her family home in Glendale. Phyllis was a great story teller and could often be found telling her grandchildren stories from her childhood and looking through photo albums. She set a great example to those around her to be kind to everyone and help those that need it and will be greatly missed by her family and by all who knew her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Valjean Robertson and seven of her siblings, Ellis Anderson, Glenn Anderson, Dee Anderson, Lillian Robinson, Inez Tait, Raymond Anderson, and Joy Anderson.
She is survived by her daughters Brenda and Nikki and sons Rick, Mike, Danny and DeLynn; 8 grandchildren: Robert, Breeann, Andrea, Ashley, Ryan, Hayley, Cody and Brooke and 4 great-grandchildren: Keegan (Breeann), Taylor (Robert), Ainsley (Ashley) and Ronan (Hayley).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1pm in the Glendale Utah LDS Church. There will be a viewing from 12pm-12:45pm at the Glendale church followed by a burial service in the Glendale Cemetery. Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.
