Pauline “Polly” Lunsford

Pauline “Polly” Frost Lunsford, age 84, died November 30, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born February 7, 1934 in Kanab, Utah to Grace Hamblin and Dee Alton Frost. She grew up in Kanab during a time when most of the people in town worked for the movie industry. Polly’s father was a foreman on the trails to the Grand Canyon. Polly wrote a beautiful story with pictures that is a must read of his historical events called “Life on the Edge.”

Polly graduated from Holy Cross Nursing School in Salt Lake City, Utah. While visiting her mother in Grover Beach, California, Polly met and married the love of her life, Thomas Lunsford. They were married on August 3, 1958. Polly was hired immediately at the San Luis Obispo General Hospital as an RN.

Tom and Polly moved to Anchorage, Alaska for several years, then in 1982 moved to South-Eastern Arizona and built themselves a beautiful home. While Tom did consultant work, Polly was very active in church activities, teaching Sunday School, and playing the piano. Tom and Polly had a wonderful and adventurous life together. Polly passed away just a few days after her beloved Tom.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab, Utah, with a viewing starting at 10:00 AM. It will be a joint service for both Tom and Polly. Burial will follow in the Kanab Cemetery. Services arranged with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.
