Paul Heaton

Paul Cram Heaton returned to his Father in Heaven on Tuesday, October 13, 2021. He was born on May 7, 1936, in Kanab, Utah to Leona Cram and Edward Carroll Heaton. He loved and married Cherie Howard on June 21, 1958, in the St. George LDS Temple. Paul and Cherie were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a teacher at Fredonia Elementary for many years and taught many students. He also worked for the Forest Service and the Town of Fredonia in the summers when he was teaching. After he retired from teaching, he enjoyed working at Ace Hardware. He owned a rock shop and the Heaton Family Enterprises Grocery Store next to the Post Office in Fredonia. He loved reading, lapidary work, jewelry making, leather tooling, rock hounding, and learning about history.

Paul is survived by his children Lynae, Edward (Traci), and Nanette, 20 Grandchildren, and 32 Great Grandchildren and one on the way. He was proceeded in death by his wife Cherie, his parents, Brothers Edward and LaMont, and Sisters Elizabeth, Mavis and Bernice.

Funeral Services will be held at the Fredonia 1st Ward Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 12:00pm AZ, with a viewing at 11:00 am, prior to the service. Burial in the Fredonia Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
