Nils Edwin Slack of Page, AZ, passed away on December 12, 2022 at the age of 73.  He leaves behind his spouse, Carol Jean (Curtis), and 2 daughters, Candace Jean (Slack) Dennison, and Leona Louise (Slack) Sarver.  He had 4 grandsons.  He also leaves behind siblings and their spouses, Kenneth Slack, (Merrilee), Corwin Slack, (Andrea), Vernon Slack, (Linda), Kanani Slack Tenney, (Mack), Maileann Slack Hoggard, (deceased), Dale, Janeel Slack Smith, (Rand), and many nieces and nephews. 
 Nils was born on February 6, 1949, in Logan, Utah to Kenneth T. Slack and Dorothea Rasmuson Slack.  He lived in Logan and Centerfield, Utah; Aurora, Colorado; and La Grange, Oregon.  When he was 6 years old the family moved to Hawaii.  At the age of 16 his family moved to Tempe, Arizona, where he graduated from McClintock High School.  He moved with his family to Salt Lake City, Utah.  He sang with the Mormon Youth Choir.  Nils married Carol Jean Curtis on June 20, 1973, and they moved to Huntington, West Virginia, eventually settling in Page, Arizona. 
 Nils worked as a custodian and later worked on maintenance for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
 A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Page Arizona lst Ward Building, 313 South Lake Powell BLVD.  Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.
