Maxwell Bailey

Maxwell J Bailey, a US Army Veteran served with Charlie Battery 2-2 Stryker Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2010-2011 before being declared disabled due to injuries received there and honorably discharged in May of 2012. Maxwell crossed over after a fall in Kanab, Utah just shy of July 4th, 2021. Maxwell considered his unit to be his band of brothers and will be missed by many of them.

Maxwell is survived by his parents Kenny and Harriett, his wife Jennifer, her adult son, Christopher, his daughter Alyzza and his long-term niece in their care, Arabella. He is also survived by siblings Amanda, Angelo, Rhonda who will keep his best dog friend Moira for his family and Alexis. He is also survived by Kenny’s children Donny and Theresa and significant others for Amanda-Joshua, Angelo-Hope, Rhonda- Allan, Alexis- Dakota, and Donny- Kassi. Nieces and Nephews: Rylie, Peyton, Kaden, Richard, LillyAnn, and Cyndy from Rhonda and Allan’s clan; Ichigo from Amanda and Joshua and Caraline who belongs to Theresa will miss Maxwell’s hugs, laughter and generosity of nature to be fair and compassionate.

Extended family and across the globe, many friends will miss Maxwell’s laugh and light dearly as will his entire family and everyone that knew his spirit!

No one that ever-met Maxwell left without a best friend! Maxwell would often say his mission was to raise his girls, and see the most of nature that he could in between with his traveling buddy Danny. Maxwell was traveling alone this trip and it gives his family great solace that he was in a beautiful place surrounded by the desert similar to where he served and also loved to be. In time, crying less, the family will continue Maxwell’s mission and to remember his rules to always be yourself. Maxwell never parted without a hug, a smile and a reminder to “Be Chill!”
