Martha Louise DeConter (nee Piper) passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side at the age of 92 on Sunday November 6th, 2022 in Kanab, Utah. She was born September 11, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA. Martha is survived by her sister Elaine Bradford of Spanish Fork, Utah; two daughters Mary Jane Jones (Troy) and Linda Cap (Chris); 8 grandchildren; 20 Great grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Walter Bonilla and daughter Christine McMahan, her parents Paul and Rebecca Piper and her brother Franklin Piper.
A long-time resident of Las Vegas, NV, she spent many years behind the counters at the three dry cleaners she owned along with her husband Bruce Robinson. The end of her career was spent as a customer service representative at Nevada Power from where she retired. The last few years of her life were spent in Kanab, Utah with her daughter and husband, Mary Jane and Troy. Linda, her other daughter, spent several months in Kanab caring for her.
Although Martha didn’t know many people in Kanab her family would like to thank the employees of Zion’s Way, particularly Brandy her hospice nurse. Also Jeannie Peterson and Angel Navarre who gave their love and support during her time here. Mosdell Mortuary have also gone above and beyond.
Funeral services will be held November 15th 2022 2:00 pm at the New Forest Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4545 New Forest Dr Las Vegas, NV 89117 followed by Internment at the Palm Downtown Mortuary and Cemetery on 1325 N. Main street.
