Lottie Hildebrand

Lottie Emma Hildebrand, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in bed on November 21, 2018 with her loving 30 year partner Bill at her side.

She lived life to the fullest. From working on the ranch in Johnson Canyon, gun-fighting competitions, many hunting, camping, and fishing excursions, Christmas shopping all day then
stopping on the way home for a margarita, teaching grandchildren to knit or crochet, traveling to Mexico, Hawaii and many other places, to simply gathering around the family table to compete in a card game. Lottie did it all.

Lottie knew everyone and everyone knew her (and loved her). In someway she would be considered to be an ambassador for the Kanab/Fredonia area. Her last excursion was during the balloon festival in Kanab for the night glowing event. One of the officials knew Lottie and she knew him and his entire family. It was a cold night and Lottie was on full time oxygen. So,he made sure that Lottie would have a center stage view of the event not having to leave the car.

She will be sorely missed and survived by her partner for 30 years Bill Simington. Children; Brad Yoakum, Randy Yoakum, Vikki Finicum, and Kathy Yoakum, daughters; JoAnn and Lois, 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son John and grandsons; David Jack Yoakum and Clifton Douglas Yoakum.

All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab.
