Lorna Porter

 On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, Lorna Anderson Porter, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 90.  She was born on February 15, 1931 to Magnus Anderson and Nellie Lucy Prince, the tenth of twelve children.  She was raised and attended elementary school in Glendale, and high school in Orderville.  She married Dee Elder Porter on July 12, 1947.  They were sealed in the St. George Temple on April 15, 1960.  Lorna and Dee had three daughters and one son.
 Lorna loved to sew for her family and friends.  She was an avid quilter and enjoyed her quilt shop.  She loved to cook and was famous for her bread, donuts, and apple pie.  She loved to visit with friends and family.  Her home was always open to everyone.
 Lorna served in Stake and Ward Relief Society callings, taught Primary, and was a counselor in Young Women.  She was the Funeral Compassionate Service Director for many years.
 Lorna is survived by two sisters Juanita Terrel of Kanab, and Leona Pierce of Texas; children Linda (Hal) Lamb of California, Pamela (Mack) Roundy of Glendale, Vickie (Larry) Stanger of Glendale, and Bobby (Jill) Porter of Redmond; 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dee Porter, and nine of her siblings.
 Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Glendale Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery.  Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
