LaNard Johnson

            LaNard E. Johnson, 79, passed away on December 26th, 2022. He was born on May 30th, 1943 in Cedar City, Utah to Nan Esplin and LaNard Johnson. He married his high school sweetheart, Karen Tait on August 11th, 1962. He worked for Kaibab for over 30 years receiving many awards and recognition. One of his biggest accomplishments during his time with Kaibab was receiving the Master Lumberman award in San Francisco, California. He enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors with his family, splitting wood, gardening, and videotaping his grandkids. He rarely missed a chance to support his children and grandchildren in anything they participated in. 

            LaNard is survived by his wife Karen, children Nesha (Scott) Crofts, Stephanie (James) Penney, and Natalie (Scot) Goulding, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild due to be born on his birthday. He is also survived by his sister Verda Salter. He is preceded in death by his parents LaNard and Nan Johnson and his sister Colleen Miller. 

            Cremation was arranged with Mosdell Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
