Kenneth Boren

Kenneth Clayton Boren passed away peacefully at home in Cedar City on August 12, 2022. Born June 20, 1933 in Kingston, Utah to Clayton Willis Boren and Thelda Emily Sudweeks Boren. He attended Price High School. At the age of 19 Ken entered the Military. He served in the Army for 2 years and received an honorable discharge. He met the love of his life Venita Young and they were married in the Manti, Utah Temple on October 2, 1958.
Ken’s favorite things in life were his friends, his garden, especially the tomatoes and cucumbers, and playing golf. He considered everyone his friends and was loved by all. Worked to help build the Glen Canyon dam and spent the rest of his working life at Petrolane Gas. Ken volunteered at the Happy Factory and loved every minute of it.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest brother Arell Boren, and his oldest son Derk Boren. He is survived by his wife Venita, his brother Delos (Nancy) Boren, sister Nedra Boren sons Dru (Tami) Boren, and Dane (Peggy) Boren and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 4:00 PM in the Kanab Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 3:00 PM at Mosdell Mortuary prior to the service.
