Judith Ann Schoenfeld-Gautier

Judith Ann (Judy) Schoenfeld-Gautier passed away in her sleep on October 16th, 2024, in Switzerland. She was 75 years old.
Judy was born on September 24th, 1949, to Kenneth and Virgie Schoenfeld in Kanab Utah. Judy grew up following her family around Utah and Arizona while her dad, Kenneth, worked as a heavy equipment operator, building roads and interstate highways, but Kanab was always the home base. She attended school in Kanab and Prescott, Arizona. Judy enjoyed playing with her siblings, cousins and friends.
Judy enjoyed Knitting for her friends and family. She was excellent at it. Creating Afghans and sweaters. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, macrame. Almost any needlework. She loved spiders. Her favorite color is black. Her favorite month was October. She loved Halloween and brought it to Switzerland where she shared it with many of her and Andre’s friends. She enjoyed finding coffee shops and making friends anywhere she went.
When Judy was 16, she married Joe Johns in Prescott, Arizona. Together, they had two children. Tulsi and Raymond. Later, in 1986, Judy and Joe divorced.
On December 16, 1988, Judy married Andre Gautier in Geneva, Switzerland. They were married for nearly 35 years, until Judy’s death.
Judy is survived by her husband, Andre Gautier, of CHOEX near Monthey, Switzerland. Her daughter, Tulsi Esplin (Steve) of Cedar City, Utah and son Raymond Johns (Anjel) of Flagstaff, Arizona. Her sister: Marsha Kay Hamblin (Joe Del Hamblin, deceased) and her brother, Michael Anthony Schoenfeld (Luann Schoenfeld, deceased.) Her grandchildren: Brie Esplin Shelley (Choc) of St. George, UT, Steven (Kass)idy Dale Esplin of Cedar City, Utah and Mikele Esplin Sanders (Chris) of Lehi, Utah. Great grandchildren: Addi Shelley and Blake Shelley. And Lily Sanders and Oliver Sanders. The families of Andre’s daughters Stefanie and Kerstin. His brother Jean-Michel Gautier and his family, His sister, Martine and all their relatives in Switzerland and the USA. She was preceded in death by her father, Julian Kenneth Schoenfeld, mother, Virginia Julander Schoenfeld and her brother Kenneth Dale Schoenfeld.
There will be a Memorial in remembrance of Judy February 22nd at 1:00 pm at the Kanab City Cemetery.

Services will be rendered by Mosdell Mortuary.
