JoAnn Lowe

JoAnn Trosper Lowe passed away March 25, 2018 at the Skilled Nursing Home in Kanab, Utah.  She was born September 26, 1930 in Kanab, Utah to Cecil M. Trosper and Luella Chamatterley Baker.  She grew up surrounded by loving grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many cousins in the neighborhood.  She graduated from Kanab High School.  School dances and drama were some of her favorite activities.

JoAnn married George Edward Bennett and lived in Southern California.  They had two children, George Scott and Teresa Lynn, but later divorced.  She then married David Lowe, and moved to Northern California.  They have been married for 42 years.  She worked for McDonnell-Douglas Aerospace for over 20 years as an accountant.

It was always JoAnn’s dream to move home to the place she missed and loved.  On September 22, 2017, she was able to come home to her family were she would be taken care of in her last months.  She did find happy times with old friends, new friends and many family.

Survivors include her husband David Lowe; son Scott (Kari) Bennett; sister Dixie Judd; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in in death by her parents, stepfather Cal Baker, brother Ralph, two sisters Dorothy Sutterfield and Calene Hulet, and a niece Lori Judd.

It was a long hard journey for her these last few weeks, but she passed the test and is now in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.

A memorial for JoAnn to remember her life that we all loved will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
