JoAnn Hames, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 18, 2024. Born on October 20, 1941, JoAnn brought warmth and joy to the world for more than eight decades. Her life was a testament to kindness, humor, and an unyielding love for her family and friends.
JoAnn is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Hames, her daughter, Cindy Larsen, her son, Josh Evers, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and happiness in her life. She cherished her family deeply and left behind a legacy of love and memories to those who were able to listen to her recollections and accounts of the many experiences she shared.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, JoAnn retired from Frito-Lay, where her colleagues fondly remember her for her unparalleled work ethic, warm spirit, and the joy she brought to their days. Beyond her career, JoAnn’s passion for cooking was a gift to all who knew her. Whether she was trying out new recipes or perfecting a family favorite, she found joy in nourishing others and bringing people together through her culinary creations.
JoAnn was not only known for her skills in the kitchen but also for her vibrant personality. Her sharp sense of humor, captivating storytelling, and ability to relive cherished memories endeared her to everyone she met. Her smile was magnetic, her kindness boundless, and her compassion a source of comfort to anyone who needed it.
