Helen Banks

Helen May Banks, age 90, died February 24, 2018 at the Kane County Hospital in Kanab, Utah.  She was born March 12, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona to Anna May Hale and Thomas E. Thompson.  She married Frank Edmund Banks in 1945.  He died in 1988.

To begin, Helen was a ranch wife. Her husband, Frank, managed all of Babbitt’s Ranches, north of Flagstaff, for 35 years. He worked for Babbitt’s for a total of 42 years. When Frank retired in 1969, he and Helen bought the Border Store in Fredonia, AZ. Helen always greeted everyone with a smile and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved her customers and in return Helen was very well liked by them.

Helen is survived by her children Janet Copeland and Frank “Ed” Banks, grandsons Justin (Sabrina) Copeland and Frank Colter Banks, and great-grandchildren Ava Layne Copeland and Maya Grace Copeland.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.

A graveside service will be held Sat., March 10, 2018 at Noon in the Fredonia Arizona Cemetery.  Arrangements made with Mosdell Mortuary.
