Glen Dixon

Glen Earl Dixon, age 98, passed away surrounded by family on September 8, 2025. He was born on October 20, 1926, in Brigham City, Utah, to Albert Dixon and Neoma Dixon (Poulsen).
During his high school years Glen worked at his uncle’s dry farm on Promontory Point, breaking horses and doing all manner of farm labor.
Glen honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Force at the end of World War II, completing a tour of duty in the Philippines. He continued his service in the reserves, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, Glen worked with the Army Depot including at Hill Field (Hill Air Force Base near Ogden Utah), retiring as a Repair Foreman in 1974. Post-retirement he drove a school bus, in the Box Elder School District, for children with special needs.
On June 3, 1949, he was sealed in the Logan Utah Temple to Wanda Dixon (Cottle), the future mother of his children. Together they served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to the Philippines; Glen went on to serve another mission in Tonga. Wanda passed away in 1983. In 1994 Glen and Delicia (Dee) Dixon (Bartholomew) were married and sealed in the Ogden Utah temple. She also preceded him in death in 2021.
A faithful and dedicated member of the Church, Glen’s life was centered on service, family, and his testimony of Jesus Christ and the restored gospel. He loved the Book of Mormon, worked hard, and was a good man who left a legacy of faith for his posterity.
He is survived by his brother, Keith Dixon (Charlene); his three children: Rodney K Dixon, Randy Glen Dixon (Marilee), and FayLynn Baron (Mark); two step-children: Carolyn Raue and Donna Goodman; 14 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his other siblings, and his wives Wanda and Dee.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm AZ on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Fredonia chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the Viewing at 1-1:45pm AZ. Interment will be in Brigham City, Utah on Monday, September 15 at 10am UT.

Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab, Utah.

    I didn’t know Glen very long, but I enjoyed talking with him. May he rest in peace.
