Genevieve Juliet Prophet Owens, age 87, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her home in Kanab, Utah.  She was born in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Amanda Collins and James Henry Prophet.  She married Joe C. Owens on November 23, 1947 in Beaver, Oklahoma.  He died July 3, 2017 in Kanab, Utah

Genevieve is survived by her children Ron Owens of Kanab, and Connie Marlene (Gerald) Gardner of Gillette, Wyoming; and three grandsons Rogan, Tavis, and Christopher.  She was preceded by a grandson Eric James Gardner and her husband Joe.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Kanab, with a graveside service in Buffalo, Oklahoma on August 25, 2018.  Services arranged with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab and Wilkinson Funeral Service of Buffalo, Oklahoma.
