Gae Jacobs

Gae Louise Jacobs passed away at 2:15 P.M. on 17 June, 2023 at the Kanab, Utah Hospital. She was born on 13 October, 1939 to Chester and Callie Opal Lasiter Crews and was raised in Sacramento, Calif. While growing up, she developed an interest in singing and music. After having been baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints at the age of 16, she later went with an LDS youth group from CA to Utah, to sing along side the Tabernacle Choir. That was one of her favorite times and experiences, and she talked about it often. She was asked many times through out her life to sing solos in church functions and other places, which she enjoyed. She also enjoyed singing with her daughters in duets and trios.
Gae was married and later divorced to Charles George, who was the father to her children. She met and then married the love of her life Leslie McLean Jacobs on June 29, 1990.
As a devoted mother and Grand mother, she lived her life as an example of kindness, love, and charity. She loved everyone, was a devoted Mother and grandmother to her three children and eleven grandchildren. For years, to help support her family, she owned and operated a Family Home Day Care business. In doing so, she had to plan meals, keep books, and manage taxes according to state and Federal laws and guidelines. Sometimes she was caring for just two or three children, and sometimes she was caring for as many as 12 children, which she said was stressful and a real hand full. In addition to the number of children, sometimes they were special need children.
Her passing has left a void in many people's lives. She was an active member of her LDS Ward and loved the Lord and giving service to all around her. She will be sorely missed.
Gae is preceded in death by her brother Glen and sister Arlene, and a grandson Bruce Ehlers. She is survived by husband Leslie Jacobs of Fredonia, Arizona; children Tammy Tyner of Sacramento, Charles George of Los Angeles, and Doris Card of Salt Lake City; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the Fredonia Arizona LDS Church at 11:00 AM (AZ Time), with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 AM (AZ Time). Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.
