September 9, 1939 – August 3, 2026
Frankie Mackelprang Hawley passed away peacefully in her hometown of Kanab, Utah, on August 3, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on September 9, 1939, and came from a family with deep roots among the original settlers of the area.
Frankie devoted much of her life to caring for her home and family, taking great pride in raising her three children: Kim Alene Allred, Cynthia Ann Allred, and Lance LaDee Allred. Her home reflected the care, order, and attention to detail she brought to everything she did.
In Kanab, Frankie was part of the community she loved. She spent time volunteering with the local church and The Western Legends Celebration, and she enjoyed visiting with friends throughout the community.
Like her father, Frank, Frankie was known for her honesty and independence. She spoke her mind, lived life on her own terms, and left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Those close to her will especially remember the delight of seeing her warm smile.
Frankie will be remembered for her high standards, her beautiful home, her honest spirit, her unmistakable style, and the lasting mark she left on her family and community. Her life and legacy will not be forgotten.
A service to celebrate Frankie’s life will be held at a later date.
