Dorthy LaVee Tait DeMille, 93, passed away in Kanab, Utah on January 23, 2019. She was born June 7, 1925 to William Carson and LeVenia Healy Tait in Mt. Carmel, Utah. She married LaMar Ozro DeMille October 31, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on June 6, 1964. LaMar preceded her in death on January 28, 2013.

Dorthy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the church and served in Primary, Sunday school, and Relief Society. She loved serving others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and quilting. She was a very serving daughter to her parents. She took very good care of them all their lives. She loved living in Mt.Carmel and loved all her friends in the Valley – which she had many.

She is survived by her children, Margaret LaVee (Delin) Roundy; Gene LaMar (Toni Lee) DeMille; Peggy Ann (Eddy) McDonald; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren with another due in April; 3 great-great-grandchildren with 2 more coming; sister, Lamola Howell of Hurricane, UT; brother, Ellis (Louise) Tait of Vernal, UT; and brother, Theo (Linda) Tait of Kanab, UT.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Maxine Tait; and brother, Junior (Ida Jane) Tait.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 2, 2019 in the Orderville Chapel where friends may call from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
