October 2, 1930 – August 2, 2026

Donna Degelbeck Hall White, age 95, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, in Kanab, Utah, surrounded by loved ones. Born on October 2, 1930, in Lehi, Utah, to John Henry Degelbeck and Alice Ann Young.

Donna married her first husband, Marvin Hall in Febuary 1948. Together, they shared 42 years of marriage and raised two children, Brenda and Gary. As Marvin’s career in military procurement and supply took them across the country and the globe, Donna adapted with grace-whether it was setting Jell-O outside in the Utah snow during a freezing cold winter in their first one-room apartment, raising two toddlers in a travel trailer, or making a home during a five-year assignment in Okinawa, Japan.

She devoted 20 years of her career to serving in various roles within the government. After retiring from public service, she continued her professional journey at Zion’s Bank in Kanab, where she worked for an additional 15 years. Her commitment to her work and community was evident throughout her life.
It was through her community service and trips to the temple that she met her second husband, Walter “Walt” L. White. The two were married and spent 24 wonderful years together. Donna and Walt shared a love for travel-visiting the Great Wall of China, seeing the TerraCotta Warriors, visiting Alaska, and Washington, D.C.-and a shared commitment to their faith, serving weekly as ordinance workers in the temple for 13 years.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donna found joy and purpose in her spiritual beliefs. She embraced a simple and happy life, cherishing the moments spent with loved ones and finding contentment in life’s everyday blessings. Donna was a woman defined by her resilience, devotion to family, quiet faith, and trademark quick wit. Donna had 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Hall; her second husband, Walter White; her daughter, Brenda Hall Atkins; her great grandson, Tucker Eugene Atkins; and her great great grandson, Kage James Teeples Jr. She is survived by Gary (Barbara) Hall as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:30 PM in the Kanab Creek Ward Chapel, 1435 South McAllister Drive. There will be a viewing from 1:30 – 2:30 PM prior to the service. Burial in the Kanab Cemetery.
