Donna Chatterley

Donna Chatterley returned to our loving Heavenly Father on July 14, 2020 at the age of 82 in Kanab, Utah. She was born August 31, 1937 in Pateras, Chelan, Washington to John William Basquett and Lorena May Standish Basquett. She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Graydon Chatterley and her daughter Little Donna Holsten.  Donna became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints March 28, 2015.

She married Richard (Dick) Graydon Chatterley March 29, 1974 in Fredonia Arizona.  They made their home in Salt Lake City.  Dick drove truck for a living and Donna would go on long hauls with him occasionally.   On one occasion she was able to visit Nashville Tennessee.  This was one of her dream destinations.

In the summer of 1977 they moved to Deer Springs Ranch to be the manager of the cattle there.  In 1978 they moved to Las Vegas where they stayed until 2002.  They retired at that time in Dick’s home town of Kanab, Utah. 

Donna loved to create things.  She was taught to crochet by her grandmother when she was young.  She created beautiful crochet dollies large and small.  Her hands were always busy.  Donna also beaded, quilted, and sewed all of Dick shirts for years.  She was always creating something. 

Donna is survived by her daughters Tonie Okolisan, Leeanna Dean, Tammy Alexander, her son Michael Newhouse, step daughters Tanya Meeks, Cindy Turnquist and 31 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. 

A graveside service will be held at Kanab City Cemetery on July 21, 2020 in Kanab, Utah.  Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.
