Dan Findlay

Daniel Lee Findlay, 51 a treasured and devoted husband, father, son and friend to all passed away January 23rd, 2022 after a long courageous battle with covid-pnemonia. He passed away surrounded by those who loved him. All who knew Danny knew what a warrior and go-getter he was in all aspects of life. Danny was born September 23rd 1970 in Riverside California to Cathy Findlay Miller. From an early age Danny was very adventurous. He loved motorcycles and loved working on them with his Grandpa Leonard. He always loved the beach and looked forward to his family's annual trip to San Felipe, Mexico. Growing up he was surrounded by a big loving family: his mom Cathy, his grandpa and grandma whom he adored, his little sister Tara as well as many cousins, uncles and aunts. Danny graduated from John W. North high school in Riverside, California where he was a dedicated member of the marching ensemble called Blue Star Regiment. During his 4 years in the BSR he was a member of the highly respected drumline called The Chrome Wall.
Right after high school Danny joined the United States Marine Corps. He has always been so very proud to be an American. Danny moved to Las Vegas, NV in his early 20s where he made success wherever he went. 24 hour fitness is where his sales career began. He then went on to get education in finance, where he found his passion. During this time he had his two boys Zach and Nathan in 2006 and 2008. Danny loved doing special things with his sons especially sharing his love of motorcycles and snowboarding. Danny and his boys took many trips to the beaches of California together and always treated them to the finer things in life. He loved his boys unconditionally and always made sure they knew he was there for them. During this time in life you could always find Danny with his best friend Jim Jarrell on the back of a motorcycle or out at the sand dunes. They were two long lost brothers.
In 2013 Danny met his wife Shancee, they quickly fell in love and began life together. Little did Danny know how quickly his life was changing from all things manly to baby girls, bows and a big softening of the heart. He was born to be a girl dad! They had 3 beautiful girls Burklee, Teigan and Brystol completing their family of 7. Danny loved taking his girls shopping and dressing them up as the little princesses he saw in them. Danny's love for his girls was undeniable; you could see it all over his face. In 2019 Danny and his family moved to St. George UT where they found their heaven on earth. Over the next 3.5 years you could always find them out jeeping as a family with car seats in tow. One of Danny's favorite things to do after work was to come home and pick up his family in his jeep and drive out to sand hollow and have dinner on the beach together until the sunset. Dan was a man of many friends and I accredit that to his big heart and his want to always see those around him succeed. He always made time to help anyone and everyone in need. Danny will always be remembered as someone who entered your life out of nowhere and suddenly meant the world to you. Some people don't believe in heroes but they must not have met our Dan!
Danny is survived by his mom Cathy and stepdad John, his father Tom Findlay, his wife Shancee, his children Zach, Nathan, Burklee, Teigan and Brystol Lee, his grandfather Leonard and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma Loretta, his grandma in law Rosemary, his sister Tara and his uncles Gary, David and Don Snyder.
