Clyde Tucker

Clyde Lee Ross Tucker passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 26, 2018.  He was born June 10, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah; the fourth of five children to Wilhelm Paul Tucker and Doris Marie Winn Tucker.

He married JoAnne Black in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple March 30, 1956.  They briefly lived in Tucson, Arizona and Southern California then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1964 where they resided until 1994 when they moved to Kanab, Utah. They moved to Queen Creek, Arizona in January 2015.  JoAnne passed away a few months later in May.

Clyde married Karlene Facer in December 2015 and moved to St. George where he resided until his death. Karlene was a blessing to him in the last years of his life and loved him dearly.

He was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held several callings which were either directly or indirectly related to working with the youth of the church. One of his greatest blessings was being able to serve three full-time missions for the church – one as a young Elder and two with his wife, JoAnne.  His first mission was to the Canadian Mission and then he and JoAnne served in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission, and the Utah Cove Fort Mission.

He is survived by his wife, Karlene, children Rodney Tucker (Jill), Joni Lang (Frank), Matthew Tucker (Jaci), 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 28thfrom 4:30 – 7:30pm at 441 E. Carriage Lane, Washington, Utah 84780. Graveside services will take place in Mesa, Arizona on Wednesday, January 2nd  11:00am at Mesa Cemetery located at 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, Arizona 85201.  Arrangements through Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab, Utah.
