Clint Porter

Clint Kasen Porter, 30, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24th, 2022. He was born in Cedar City, Utah to Clint and Shana on April 28th, 1992. From the moment he entered the world, he had big chubby cheeks, big brown eyes and bright blonde hair. You felt your heart brighten and smile just by being around him.

Kasen was a prankster, a kid who always had it in his mind to make you laugh. It was impossible for you to not at least smile when he entered the room. His sense of humor was unlike anything you’ve ever been around. He could do impressions, quote movie lines, dance and sing until our belly hurt. Kasen was always a huge sports fan, from the time he was a little boy, he introduced himself as John Stockton. You also couldn’t find a bigger Dallas Cowboys fan either. He dropped everything to watch them, even if they were losing, he never gave up on them. He was a gifted athlete from football, baseball and basketball he did it all. Watching him was the highlight of our week growing up.

Kasen had the most tender loving heart. He loved his people fiercely. He was a protector; his big warm hugs made you feel like it was alright in the world. It was comfort. Kasen had many of his own demons he fought, for years. When you asked him how he was, instead of telling the truth, he protected us, told us he was ok and what we wanted to hear. He was selfless and didn’t want people to hurt for him. In his last few months of his life, he was on the right path to a life that he always wanted. Raising his family, being at peace, making something of himself, and being happy! He was not only our son, brother, grandson, uncle, he was a dad. Kasen was a wonderful, fun and loving father. He loved his kids immensely. Being a dad made Kasen so happy. They meant everything to him. He was the dad who was on the floor playing pokemon, real life Call of Duty, he would never tell them no, he was game for anything for them. We are so very proud of him and will miss him every second of every day. We love you Kasen.

Kasen is survived by his parents Clint (Gaylee) Porter, Shana (Jerry) Mitchell. His children, Tylee Porter, Dakota, Ashtyn Gean and Gunnar. His sisters, Jamee (Alan) Crooks, Jacee (Tyson) McGrath, Taylor Porter. His nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Jerzi, Boston, Slade, Carson and Liliana. His partner in life Cheyenne Tidwell, and her parents. Stepsiblings, Bart, Chad, Ivan, Waylon, Kaylee, and Jerry. His loving grandmas, Carolyn Porter and Renon Peterson. Also, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandpas, Jimmy Peterson, Vergean Porter, Emeron Peterson. Grandma, Jerri Morgan, and his Uncle Kevin Porter.

We would love to have all who knew and loved Kasen to come and join us on January 7th, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 South 100 East, Glendale, Utah. We will have an open casket viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 am, his funeral services will be at 11:00am, with a graveside service in Escalante, Utah cemetery at 3:00pm.

We are so grateful for the love and support we have received. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
