Carol Jean Burrows of Kanab, Utah passed away December 11, 2022 at the age of 79.
Carol was predeceased by parents Sherman and Melda Davis, brother Larry Davis, husband James Cal Burrows, daughters Tracy Jean Burrows and Melda Laneace Spendlove, grandson Avery Benson Spendlove, and sister-in-law Judy Davis. She is survived by daughters Calleen (Geno) Ramsay of Kanab, UT, and Kristen J. Beagley of Mt. Carmel, UT; brothers Lamond Davis of Cedar Citry, UT, and Sherrel (Mary) Davis of Rexburg, Idaho; sisters Mary (Reed) LeFevre of Tropic, UT, Shirley (Les) Barker of Henrieville, UT, and SheRon (Roger) Linford of Panguitch, UT; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Carol loved her grandchildren and the several great-grandchildren who adopted her through the years. She loved to sew, color, do artwork, go shopping, and spend quality time with her family. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Kanab Utah Kaibab Stake Center, with viewing from 10:00-10:45 AM. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery next to her daughter Tracy. Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/94090526248
I knew Carol through my mother, Verda Mahoney. They were very dear friends. My husband, Nyle Willis, & I remember Melda, Carol’s mother, as well as Lamond & Judy Davis from the Willis Family Reunions. Geno & Calleen raised their sons just blocks away from us & so it is with heartfelt sympathy that I send our condolences. I never saw Carol that she wasn’t smiling & always interested in my family. She was an angel to my mother, encouraging & inspiring her in their visits. I wish we could have attended Carol’s service to express our love & support to her family. May God bless…
