Brigett Johnson died peacefully in Kanab, Utah, May 11,2020,  the day after Mother’s day, surrounded by family at her home.

Brigett was born in Kanab on Nov. 6, 1959, to Ronnow and Mary Lou Bunting.  She married her sweetheart, Russ Johnson, in Kanab on Feb. 14, 1978 and soon after moved to Craig, CO for Russ’s  work.  She had 5 children; Jeremy Clark (deceased), Ashley, Ryan Chase (deceased), Jessica and Alexandra.

She loved being a wife, mother and grandma.  She surrounded herself with friends everywhere she went and loved them dearly.  She loved to travel and was always wanting to explore.  She looked forward to girls trips with her daughters, Kanab friends and Delta friends.  She knew what the important things in life were and enjoyed the journey.  She was very talented in many aspects of her life.  She was an amazing artist and painter and enjoyed decorating and DIY projects.  She had a special touch for making old things beautiful again.

She is survived by her husband, Russ; children, Ashley Anderson (Jared), Jessica Skougard (Daren) and Ali Stevens (Jake); Her brother, Brett Bunting (Angie) ; sister, Cyndi Strang (Chris) and Nine Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons.

Brigett will be laid to rest with the boys at the Kanab cemetery.  There will be no formal services.
