Brandi Kym (Palmer) Thompson passed away on March 24, 2019 in Durango, CO at 30 years of age. She was a beloved mother, daughter, wife, and friend.

Brandi was born in Page, AZ on July 4th, 1988, the daughter of Alan Kim Palmer and Kolene “Kimi” Palmer. She moved to Durango, CO in 1998 where she attended Escalante Middle and Durango High Schools, participating in basketball and cross-country track.

Brandi’s passions were family, friends and anything western. She loved to rodeo, barrel race and country western dancing. She was a member of the Silverado Riding Team and performed at events across southern Colorado. She was proud to be the store manager at Boot Barn where she was employed for several years before being promoted to her favorite job as mom and wife.

On November 29, 2007 Brandi was blessed with her beloved son and only child, Bhrett Allen Palmer, who she treasured and deeply loved. She always enjoyed any opportunity to take Bhrett to a movie, go for a walk or a bite of sushi.

Brandi met her best friend, soul mate Larry Thompson in 2012. They were later married on October 17, 2015 in Durango. She was adored and cherished by her husband whom he affectionately called his “Lil Nug”. They enjoyed riding UTVs, going on road trips, or just being lazy enjoying time together.

Puppies always brought a smile to her face, she loved her three Boston Terriers (Macy, Buddy and Lil’ D) even when they ate her favorite boots.

Brandi was preceded in death by her Father – Kim Palmer, Grandmother – Rose Palmer and Aunts – Jean and Joan Palmer.

She is survived by her son – Bhrett Palmer, Husband – Larry Thompson, Mother – Kolene Kimi Klahr, Brother Travis Palmer, Grandfather – Verle Palmer, Grandparents – George and Alma Aparijo, and Uncles – Kenyon Palmer, Martin Aparijo and Tony Aparijo.

Brandi was buried next to her father on a beautiful spring morning at the Page, AZ cemetery on April 1, 2019.
