Bernell Crofts

Kent Bernell Crofts, age 82, returned home to his Heavenly Father and many family members on Friday, September 11, 2020. He was born on September 22, 1937 to Harvey Allen and Everetta Heaton Crofts in Kanab, Utah.
Bernell grew up in Orderville, Utah where he lived until his passing. He was the 3rd child of 8 in his family. He married the love of his life, Linda Taylor, on May 28, 1960 in the St. George Temple. They recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary.
Bernell had a love for the outdoors and spent all of the time he could with his family in the hills. He loved the deer hunt and looked forward to it every year. When hunting wasn’t in season he could be found fishing on the Boulder Mountain and many places in between.
Bernell was a hard worker and made sure his family had everything they needed, even if he had to build it with his own hands. He worked for Kaibab in the mill and the log woods for 11 years, and loved that job! He later went to work for UDOT and retired after 30 years.
Bernell loved to visit with everyone and anyone! He knew people everywhere he went and loved to make new friends. He would talk to any stranger like he had known them his whole life. Be assured he will have a good time with family and friends who have passed on before him. Bernell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the gospel very much.
Bernell is survived by his loving wife Linda Taylor Crofts; their only child Kent Lewis (Marcia) Crofts of Orderville; brother Randall (Gwen) Crofts of Southhaven, Mississippi; sister Julie Ford of Escalante, Utah; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly!
A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab. Graveside services will beheld Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Orderville Cemetery. Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary.

Hello, I’m wondering if he was brother to my father Cloyd Udell “Del” by family, “Buck” by friends? I’m searching for family in Kanab and the surrounding areas. My heart is heavy for this loss and I pray his family finds peace knowing he’s with our Heavenly Father.

He isn’t a brother but he would be a cousin!
