Albert Ray Sorilla Sr, age 67 died at his home in Fredonia, Arizona on December 6, 2022 of natural causes. He was born September 2, 1955 in Bisbee Arizona to Rose Marie Peak and Ysidro Sorilla. He married the love of his life Debbie May LaRue in Bisbee Arizona in 1981.
Albert was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from the National Park Service in Zion Canyon several years ago. He loved barbecues, going camping, and taking drives on the Kaibab. He was a great story teller.
Survivors include his wife Debbie, children Cheech (Ruth) Sorilla, Albert Ray Sorilla Jr, Jennifer (Ben) Warner, Lisa (Mike) Thorpe, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by 5 siblings Annis Baker, Laura Sorilla, Robert Sorilla, Ysidro Sorilla, and Tammy Vellner.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ysidro Sorilla, Louise Sorilla, and his brother Ronnie Medina.
Cremation was arranged with Mosdell Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Tho I didn’t know Albert personally, I knew all of his kids @ school, & his wife Debbie. I know he will be missed, & I pray God will hold his family tightly in His arms.
Haven’t seen Albert in years. Always thought he was a good man. He had to be, he married my maid of honor, my sister, my best friend. Deda, you know my heart breaks for you and the rest of the family. Albert Rest In Peace. Deda and rest of family my deepest condolences.
