David Bruce Whited

David Bruce Whited, loved son, loving husband, caring father, and dedicated brother said goodbye and rode off into his final sunset at 11:36 am on November 18, 2018. He was born June 9th, 1938 at the foot of a copper mine in Bingham, Utah. He grew up in the nearby community of Midvale, Utah where he developed into a driven young man and star beet digger. This drive, along with an unending determination, helped him through a stint in the Army National Guard, pushed him to gain his degree in civil engineering, and drove him to become a master at this craft.
Bruce’s love of the Old West was undeniable. He was an accomplished horseman, skilled hunter, and keen archer. He loved adventure and sought it out as often as he could, whether it was crossing the snowy peaks of the High Uintas on Horseback with his buddies, staring down cape buffalo in South Africa, or sailing the high seas, he never turned away from the fun life had to offer him.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Vivian Whited of New Harmony, children; Glen (Laura) Whited of Snowflake, Arizona, Gary (Georgia Dean) Whited of Erda, Utah, Suzzette Bunting of Kanab, Utah, Chey“Annie” (Troy) Hinote of Kanab, Utah, Reno (Cathy) Whited of Apache Junction, Arizona, step-children, Evan Kent Christensen and Wendy (Duke) Helphenstine, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister Shirley Roberts of Sandy, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Kanarraville Chapel with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Burial in the Kanarraville Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
