Warren Kent Fisher

Warren Kent Fisher was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, on March 4, 1936 to Christopher “Bud” Fisher and Lillian Depew Fisher. He left home at 16 years old to start working, taking odd jobs until he was 18. At 18 Dad started working for an oil service company, Camco, in Northern Alberta. He continued working there & in 1962 he met and married Helena Zwaga. After 2 boys, Dad started working overseas, still with Camco, taking his family with him. Holland and Venezuela were first, 2 years each, then back to Canada where he drove an Electrihall for a mining company in BC for 1 year. He then bought and operated a service station for a year in Summerland, BC in the Omanagan Valley. Then it was back to the oil fields overseas in Nigeria, Singapore, and Egypt. After working in Egypt for 15 years, Dad and Mom moved to Wyoming, where he retired from Camco and started working for Amoco. In 1998 he retired from Amoco and moved with Helena to a retirement community in Green Valley, Arizona. There he drove a bus for an old folks home and tried his hand at over the road or long haul trucking, mostly to keep himself busy. Around 2015, Dad and Mom moved to Denton, Texas to closer to their son, Larry, and his family. In 2023 they moved again, this time to Kanab, Utah, where they spent the rest of their lives. Dad taught his boys the value of a buck and that there was no substitute for hard work.
While in Canada, Dad went snow skiing in the winter and water skiing in the summer. He also enjoyed winding down the evenings with a good hockey game when they were playing. Dad was a gun nut; buying, selling, and trading guns was something he loved doing.
Dad passed from this world to the next on November 26, 2025, just a little over a month since his wife Helena had passed this year. He can now be with his family who have gone before.
Survivors include son Mark (Stana) Fisher, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Helena and son Larry.
