Sharon Andersen passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Kanab, Utah. Born on October 29, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, to Floyd and Muriel Starting, Sharon lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Sharon had a deep love for the outdoors—hiking and exploring nature always brought her joy. Her affection for animals was matched only by the love she carried for her family. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be held close to their hearts forever. She also found joy in hearing the stories her late husband, William, shared about his time volunteering at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
She is survived by her three children, Jenné, Leslie, and Robert; her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan, Joel, Kenneth, Chynna, Quinn, and Brayden; and her great-grandchild, Ripley. She is also survived by her siblings, Scott, Ellen, Joseph, Justin, and John Paul. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kyle, and her devoted husband, William Andersen.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, nurses, doctors, and staff at Kanab Skilled Living for their compassionate care and support.
May Sharon’s memory bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her.
Cremation arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
