Malan Lance Bunting

Malan Lance Bunting was born on January 3, 1968 to Merrill and RGene Bunting in Page, Arizona. He was the 5th of 6 children. His Father was his best friend in life. He grew up with fun loving, different idea’s and at age 5 was determined to become a caveman!

Malan learned how to work at a very young age while assisting his father in the evenings cleaning Valley National Bank. He continued to work hard, even with his challenges, into his adulthood at Walmart, Taco Bell, Encompass and the Garden Club.

The summer of his 16th Birthday, he was privileged to go and pick pineapples on the Island of Lanai in Hawaii.

He served a mission in Los Angeles, California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1987-88. He graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Elementary Education and the Institute of Religion in June 1997.

Malan was well known for entertaining his nieces and nephews with numerous camping, four wheeling, dutch oven cooking, shooting, motorcycle and atv riding events.

He loved animals including cats, chickens, turkeys, and even some geese. All located in his Cedar Street corral located in his backyard in Page, Arizona.

He loved and supported his family, especially his parents. Extended family get togethers were the highlight and center of his universe including reunions, weddings, funerals, missionary farewells, and especially camping. He was surrounded by family that believed in education. He was active in the Church, read his scriptures, and he deeply loved the Saviour.

Malan passed away in Snowflake, Arizona on Easter morn April 20, 2025. He is survived by his oldest sister, Merildene (Tom) Hull, sister Elyse McInelly, brother Karlyn (Janette) Bunting, and sister Jaquel Lowder, and 12 nieces and nephews.
