Lloyd Glen Robinson, only child of Glen L. and Berniece Robinson passed from this life into the next on December 12, 2025. Lloyd was born March 16, 1934 in Kanab, UT where he resided his whole life. His early years were spent roaming the hills around Kanab, Johnson Canyon and Robinson Ranch (Best Friends Angel Canyon).
Lloyd and Pauline Tait eloped to Pioche, NV June 6, 1954. Sealed in the St. George Temple May 13, 1965. They were married for 71 years.
As a young man he enjoyed fast cars and was part of the Spartans car club. He won trophies for jeep races at the Sand Dunes. He was a volunteer fireman and served a term as fire chief for Kanab City. He worked for Blue Diamond Corporation, on the Glen Canyon Dam and for Kaibab Industries. During his 38 years at Kaibab Industries he advanced from working in the planer mill to quality control manager of the Kaibab mill. He earned certificates from Oregon State University School of Forestry for lumber quality and process control. He received numerous awards including recognition by Western Wood Products Association as a Master Lumberman.
In 1974 he and Pauline bought property in Swains Creek on Cedar Mountain and built a family cabin. He loved to spend his summers up at the cabin entertaining the grandkids and visiting with his “mountain” friends. He was always happy being out in the hills, hunting Indian ruins, hunting for horns or gathering wood.
He is survived by his wife Pauline, children Sherrie A. Pandya, Gregory L. (Sherry) Robinson and Patricia Robinson. Twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Avnish P. Pandya.
There will be a visitation Saturday December 20th at Mosdell Mortuary from 11:00 to 12:20, followed at 12:30 by graveside services at the Kanab Cemetery.
