Karen Tait Johnson, 80, passed away on May 4th, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born on December 29th, 1944 in Kanab, Utah to Inez Anderson and Chester Tait. She spent most of her childhood days in Mt. Carmel playing with siblings and friends.
Karen married her high school sweetheart, LaNard Johnson on August 11th, 1962 and they made their home in Orderville, Utah where they raised their three beautiful daughters.
Karen loved baking homemade pies and sweet rolls, tending to her garden and flowers, and going on shopping dates with her sisters and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and rarely missed a chance to support them.
Karen is survived by her children Nesha (Scott) Crofts, Stephanie (James) Penney, and Natalie (Scot) Goulding, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren with one due to be born in September 2025. She is also survived by three sisters Pauline (Lloyd) Robinson, Allie (Hugh) Spencer, LeAnn McDonald and two brothers Randy Tait and Gary (Josie) Tait. She is preceded in death by her husband LaNard Johnson, parents Inez and Chester Tait, and her brother Veloy Tait.
Cremation was arranged with Mosdell Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
