Frances Louise Pratt, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2018 in Kanab, Utah. She was born Nov. 10, 1935, the second eldest of Ten children born to Doyce and Annie Mae Welch.

Shortly after graduating high school, Frances headed for the “Big Apple”, with her parents blessing.  She started her journey as a telephone operator in Washington DC, then moved to New York to work as a navy secretary, where she met the love of her life.  After a 7 day courtship, Frances married Louis Pratt on March 17, 1957.  Together they raised 3 children; Kathy, Beverly, and Louis Jr.

Frances had an exuberant love of life and adored family trips to the cabin.  She was vivacious, sentimental and funny.  Her witty quotes often becoming a part of family traditions.

She is survived by her children; Kathy (J. Lowe) Barton, Beverly (Gus) Carayas and Louis (Traci) Pratt Jr.; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; Siblings; Lois (James) Mitchell, Laverne Eldridge, Jim (Patsy) Welch and Mike Welch.

Frances was preceded in death by her Husband; Louis Pratt Sr., her parents, and 6 of her siblings.

Services will be held at Mosdell Mortuary on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment at Kanab City Cemetery, under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
