Cedric A. Norton was my stepfather. He was kind but a military disciplinarian to me. He was honest, responsible and a mentor to me during my formative teenage years. He had a mean streak that was formed in his troubled youth and family life. Cedric was more of a father to me than my biological father and I appreciate his guidance and loved him despite the mean treatment of my mother and four Norton sisters.

May he finally rest in peace. God bless him and his wonderful wife, Emma.
