Ada Lynn John died at her home in Kaibab Village, Arizona on February 1, 2023. She was born in Kanab, Utah on April 6, 1978 to Clarence John and Eileen Drye. She was raised on the Kaibab Reservation where she ran around with no shoes and socks.
Ada attended school at Moccasin from grades K-3rd, and then attended middle school in Fredonia, Arizona. She graduated from high school in California at Sherman Indian High School.
In the winter of 2000, Ada gave birth to a handsome baby boy, Wendell. She always loved being a mother, and also enjoyed spending time with her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her son Wendell John; brother Elton (Shoni) John; and sister Clarinda (Ben) Colorow.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Kaibab Tribe Multipurpose Building on the Kaibab Paiute Reservation. Burial was in the Kaibab Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
