Helena Zwaga Fisher, 83 years old, passed from this world, at her home, in Kanab Utah on October 12, 2025 and entered the Spirit World. She was born January 13, 1942, in Brauweiler, Germany. She was a beloved wife to Warren Kent Fisher. Mother to two sons, Larry (who died in 2023) and Mark, who lives in Kanab. Helena is survived by her Husband Warren, Son Mark, 12 Grand Children, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. From Friesland, Mom moved to Holland with her Parents Ruud and Johanna Zwaga. When mom was 13 she immigrated with her parents, to Canada. They eventually settled in Alberta where she finished high school. There she met & married Warren at the age of 18. There Mom and Dad and their 2 sons, Larry and Mark, moved all over the world, while Dad worked in the oil fields. Mom learned flower arranging in Singapore and worked for a time in a flower shop. Most of all, we are forever grateful for, is that Mom was able to stay home and raise Larry and Mark to the highest standards. Mom was raised Catholic, however felt like she was missing something more in her faith. She started praying while she lived in Nigeria, asking Heavenly Father to help her to find or send someone to help answer her yearning for the full truth. Two years later, while living in Singapore, she answered a knock at the door. Upon opening, as Mom said, “Two Angels in white shirts and ties, with a message about Eternal Families.” A few months later, with Mom leading the way, we were all baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She never wavered. God had answered her prayers! She knew it and loved being in and participating in Church! Mom loved her Savior Jesus Christ and never shied away from sharing her Testimony. She will be missed by her loved ones and friends here on earth, but we know she is so happy to be home with her Parents and Son and especially her Savior Jesus Christ.

Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary. A memorial will be held at Kanab Cemetery, Friday November 7, 2025 at 12 Noon (MDT).
