Tammy Cox

Tammy Darla Cox was born August 13th, 1958 in the sunshine city, El Paso, Texas. She passed away in the comfort of her home March 7th, 2025 in the red mountains of Kanab, Utah.

Daughter to Richard and Grace Cox, Tammy was the youngest girl out of 9 children. She left behind a beautiful legacy with four children Johny Petterson, Heather and Matt Fielder, Gracie Graver, & Dori and Pj Bistline; Seven grandchildren Annamarie Graver, Madison Skyles-Jones, Gaven Skyles, Kyle Peterson, Baylee Peterson, Owen Bistline, and Cody Bistline; as well as three great grandchildren; all of whom she adored at the time of her death.

As she was affectionately known, Tammy was a shining light in so many peoples lives and dedicated her soul to helping any and all in need. She faced her many challenges in life head on, and if you didn’t know her, you’d think she was a little intimidating at first. But one good conversation and suddenly she’d be your best friend and greatest ally. Tammy truly had a knack for finding the beauty and good in all things broken, even if it was people.

Tammy also took an active role in the lives of her grandchildren and dedicated many hours to passing down family crafts such as crocheting, sewing and recipes that have been shared for generations. She was a collector of all different antiques and loved learning about the history of our world and the way it was. She believed it was important to pass down her families stories and treasures. It brought her comfort that she would be remembered by those she loved most.

Predeceased by her mother and father, Tammy’s family takes great comfort in the knowledge that she is at home by her parent’s side and look forward to the day where they will be reunited. There was never a day where Tammy didn’t shine in the hearts of those around her, and for that, she will be deeply missed.

Cremation arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
