Candice Williams

Our wonderful mother and grandmother Candice Marie Williams peacefully passed away Sunday February 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Candy was born on April 23, 1952 in Honolulu, Hawaii to her parents, Elvira Bowden and Albert Albani Jr. She was the 3rd of 6 children.

Candy moved several times as a small child before her family settled in Southern California. She lived there for many years before moving to Kanab nearly 33 years ago. She spent more than 20 years working for Kane County Eye Care where many residents grew to know and love her. She loved her job and all of the friends she made along the way. She was a fiercely independent woman and was a pillar of strength and devotion to her family.

Above all, what Candy valued most deeply was her family. She cherished every moment she spent with them. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she believed in the promise of eternal life and reuniting with her family.

Aside from family, Candy had a profound love of the beach. The sounds of the waves and the sea salt in the air and the feel of her toes in the sand were her therapy. She had a love of gardening and had a garden planted every year.

Candy was a devoted mother and is survived by her 4 loving children: Shay (Joe) Millett of Saint George Utah, Alan Jr. (Harley) Williams of Kooskia Idaho, Mallory (Spencer) Edmunds of Kanab Utah and Jade Dixon of Kentucky. She was also cherished by her 14 grandchildren who were her whole world.

A viewing in her honor will be held on February 17th from 12:30-1:45 with funeral services to follow. Both the viewing and funeral will be held at the Kanab Kaibab Stake Center located at 1435 South McAllister Drive in Kanab Utah. The interment will take place immediately after the service at the Kanab City Cemetery.

So very sorry for your loss. Candy was always so kind and helpful as the receptionist at our eye Dr. My boys were so sad to hear of her passing as well. She had her friendly demeaner and was so organized and knew exactly what we needed. She went out of her way to get us our contacts or glasses. She will be greatly missed.
