Stewart C. Robinson, age 78, passed away on December 1, 2022, in Santa Clara, Utah, surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. He leaves behind his two sons and their spouses; Michael Stewart Robinson (Danielle) and Shawn William Robinson (Liz). He also leaves behind six siblings and their spouses; Michael Vargo (deceased), Charlie and Karen Robinson, Lenna Johnson, Ramona and Loy (deceased) Riddle, LaRee Howard, Kenny and Sandra Robinson, six grandchildren; Braedan, Chase, Landon and Kade Robinson; Bergen and Brennan Robinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and brother-in-law.

Stewart was born on August 19, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Stewart Cadwallader Robinson and Lenna Jean Tait Robinson, while his father was serving overseas during World War II. When his father returned from the service, they moved to Kanab, Utah, where Stewart lived most of his life. He graduated from Kanab High School and attended a trade tech in Salt Lake City, Utah in surveying. While in school he enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee where he served for 4 years during the Vietnam War. After the service, he worked for JDM Sand & Rock driving heavy equipment and spent most of his years working at Kaibab Industries in Fredonia, Arizona, as a manager and lumber grader. After the closure of Kaibab, he finished his career working for AmeriGas. When he retired, he lived out the rest of his life in Kanab spending time with his family, in the outdoors and tending to his garden, where he was known for raising his famous “Wilford” tomatoes.

Stewart enjoyed watching football games, volunteered as an EMT where he worked on the ambulance and donated many hours as an American Legion member. He had a passion for being outdoors and four-wheeling in his old red truck and enjoyed long ATV rides. He was known as “Stu” to all his friends, and he will be remembered as one of the good guys that dedicated his life to serving others and his community.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 10 in the Kanab 5th Ward Chapel, 20 West Center Street, with a viewing from 11:30 to 12:45 pm. Burial in the Kanab Cemetery.
