Steven Corson

Steven Kent Corson was born December 18th, 1956 in Sacramento, CA to Billie Jean (Banks) and Edward Corson.  In his youth, Steve excelled in sports.  While attending Mingus Union High School (AZ), Steve played football and earned All State and All Conference awards.  He played in the state North-South All Star game and set the state record for total number of carries in a game (42)!  Steve went on to play football in college for Arizona Western College and Brigham Young University.

Steve loved God, The US Constitution, and his family.  He passionately believed in standing up for what he thought was right, regardless of the consequences.  In his quest to make a difference, Steve traveled the country and met many wonderful people; most of whom became life-long friends knowing him as “Patriot Steve”.

Steve had a beautiful smile and charisma that made people want to be around him.  Those fortunate enough to stay for a while were typically treated to songs from his guitar.  Steve saw the beauty in music and how it connected people to each other.

Steve passed away September 4th, 2023 in his home in Fredonia, AZ.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, William (Scooter) Gene Corson and Robert (Bobby) Corson.  He is survived by his 2 sons, Jesse and Dustin, brother Mark Corson, sister Sabrina Schumacher, and former wife Loie.

Cremation was arranged with Mosdell Mortuary
